2012 Hamilton graduate in critical condition after crash

Recent Hamilton graduate Josh Rutgers, who served as a key member of The ThunderHawk staff this past school year, sustained critical injuries in a crash yesterday afternoon at the  intersection of M-40 and Cabill Drive (the turn for the BP/McDonald’s north of the I-196 interchange).

His family has set up a CarePage to keep up with his progress and they welcome any prayers they can receive for Josh.  The family encourages visitors for the family at the hospital, but is asking both extended family and friends to wait until Monday to see Josh in person.  The link for Josh’s CarePage can be found here.

Information surrounding the circumstances of the crash can be found at the Holland Sentinel link here.

Rutgers, 18, graduated from Hamilton in May.  He was active with the media programs at school, serving as a top photographer on the staff of The ThunderHawk student newspaper, The Portrait yearbook, as well as making movies in the Script Writing class.

He loves music and writing, and his future plans include managing and promoting bands here in west Michigan.

The ThunderHawk will keep Josh and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
