Anime Club takes flight

Anime Club is off to a great start so far this year. They’ve been playing games and watching videos and mostly learning about Japanese culture.

“We do not have a lot of people right now,” Co-president Janna Kollen said.

Anime Club offers kids the chance to talk about their favorite anime, draw anime, and learn about different anime and Japanese culture. It’s also a time for kids to meet new people and find similar interests.

Janna Kollen and Marissa Williams are now co-presidents and have taken over for their sisters who used to run the club.

The club is advised by Library Media Specialist Connie Renkema and has some big events coming soon including the T-Shirt and Video Game contests.

It’s a great place to spend time with friends and learn new things.  For those interested, the club meets on Mondays in the library media center.
