Freshman boys basketball dominates Hopkins

The Hamilton freshman boys basketball team took on Hopkins on December 6th. With Hamilton in charge right from the opening tip, Hopkins found them selves down 9-2 only two minutes into the game.

According to Coach Randall, the Hawkeyes had great ball pressure that lead to easy points on the other end.

“We got a lot of easy transition points, because of our aggressive defense.” Christian DiCeasare said.

The Hawkeyes scoring was also terrific which allowed for Hamilton to pull away quickly and keep the game in their hands. Ten of twelve Hawkeyes scored which got everyone involved.

‘It’s cool, because everyone can say that they contributed.” Lucas Reimink said.

Ultimately it was the great play of their much improved defense that helped the young group of Hamilton freshman find their way to a 56-26 victory over Hopkins.

Hamilton’s next game will be at West Ottawa will they will look to improve their record to 3-0.
