Others had the chance to qualify  at conference at the Holland Aquatic Center.

The team expects to do well. as of right now they are ranked 4th in the state. They believe they can do better than 4th place and will work hard to prove that.

“We’re going to go kick butt,” junior Alex Wilkins said.

Wilkins explained that she is very excited for state and is very glad she qualified.

“Hopefully I will drop my times and get all state,” Wilkins said. She will be swimming the 100 free, and the 200 free which she qualified for at conference.

Cortni Ritter will be swimming the 100 breaststroke, and added the 100 butterfly at conference.” I want to get my best times, and get all state,” Ritter said.

The lone freshman who qualified for state, Rileigh Eding will be swimming in the 100 back, 100 fly, and the 50 free.

“I think we will do well, we are in 4th place now and I hope to go all state.”Eding said.

Their main objective is to put together a great meet.

” We have the girls to do really well and re-write our record board,” Eric Talsma said. As a team they expect a lights out state meet. Coach Talsma believes there are some very good teams in division three, and there should be a pretty good battle for 3rd-5th place at state.
