Hamilton freshmen handed tough loss by Zeeland West

Hamilton’s freshmen football team lost tough game against Zeeland West Thursday night with a final score of the game 40-22.

This is the Hawkeyes’ second loss of the season leaving them with a record of 6-2.

Zeeland West remains unbeaten with a record of 8-0.

Hamilton scored two touchdowns both with successful two point conversions ending the first half tied 16-16. However in the second half Zeeland West dominated the field to roll up a 40-22 victory.

“It wasn’t that we didn’t make plays,” Coach Mark Behnke said, “it’s that they did make plays.”

“We played a good game, they just wore us down,” Coach Behnke said.

Hamilton’s last game of the season is at home against Unity Christian.

“We have to finish strong next week,” Coach Behnke said.
