Hamilton varsity girls shoot the lights out against Allegan

The Hamilton varsity girls basketball team took on the Allegan Tigers yesterday at home.

Hamilton quickly pulled away with strong aggressive defense which gave them a 41-11 lead going into halftime.

Continuing their full court press, the Hawkeyes began to rotate their bench, which allowed for all nine Hamilton basketball players who got in the game to score.

In the third quarter Allegan made a 10-2 run, but it was too little to late as the Hawkeyes would have more then a 30 point led at the point.

Hamilton cruised to a easy 80-40 victory that featured 19 points from Molly Oren and 18 from junior Ashely Overbeek. Overbeek finished with three 3 pointers.

The Hawkeyes will take their 2-0 record on the road this friday when they will face the Vikings of Hopkins. The game will be a 7:00 start.
