Hamilton varsity golfers finished in OK Green

The varsity golf girls had an amazing finish to the year, earning a second place finish at Conference.

“With a good showing at Conference, the girls ended up 2nd overall for the year.” Coach Kevin Arnold said. “The girls also finished 6th at Regional.”

Being on the golf team, the girls don’t only gain golf experience but have fun while learning the game.

“It’s a very laid back sport that’s not very hard,” senior Renee Selle said. “You get to meet great friends on the team and also with the other competitors from different schools. It’s just an overall great atmosphere.”

“I thought the season overall was an awesome one,” Lindsey Reed said.

The varsity golf team consists of Lindsey Reed, Taylor Eding, Julie Genzink, Peri Phillipi, Meghan Adkins, Mallory Draisma, Jessica Ratkowski, Renee Selle, and Coach Kevin Arnold.

The varsity golf girls started their season on August 21 with an Hamilton Invitational, ending their season with Regionals on October 8, and played many jamborees, invitaionals, and matches acrossed West Michigan along the way.

Taylor Eding, Renee Selle, and Lindsey Reed were named All Conference Honorable Mention, All Allegan County, and are nominated for the All Area Team.
