Friday, Jan. 28 – Today my grandpa took us to the Qatar desert and to the dunes and while we were there we saw some Qataris playing with their pet cheetah! The man waved us over and we got to pet the cheetah and were able to get a few pictures. We also got to ride camels. It was really fun.  We also went to church (the weekend here is Friday and Saturday).

Thursday, Jan. 27 – On Thursday, we went to the Villagio Mall. It is a giant mall that is designed to look like Venice! There is a giant stream and gondola running through the center of the mall. The stores are made to look like buildings in Venice and the ceiling is painted with clouds. The stores are way different, the only stores that my family and I recogized were Aldo and The Gap. The clothing is also very different, the style here its much more dressy.

Wednesday, Jan. 26 – On Wednesday, we went to the Museum of Islamic Art. It was sweet! It was on the Corniche which is the waterfront of the Doha Gulf. The buildings design was beautiful and very ornate. The museum didn’t have to many exhibits but the ones they had were good. They had an ancient Egyptian section that had sweet artifacts.
