Hawkeye boys varsity fall to Dutch 54-48

Despite coming out with a lead to start the second half, the Hamilton Hawkeyes boys varsity basketball lost a tight game to Holland, 54-48.
“It went well for the first 28 minutes,” junior Dylan Buresh said, “and for the last four it didn’t go so well.”
In the fourth quarter Holland outscored the Hawkeyes by eight points. The team shot 55% from the free-throw line and 37% from the field.
Holland’s Aiden McAuliffe was on fire from beyond the 3-point arc with four triples and finished with 21 points.  Dante Hawkins led the Dutch with 24.
For the Hawkeyes, Nick Kronemeyer led a balanced attack with 12 points, while senior Ethan Buresh and sophomore Grant Wolfram each chipped in with nine.
