The Hamilton JV boy’s basketball team is continuing their season with hope of winning more games despite not being able to repeat the number of wins like they had their freshmen year when they had the best record in the conference. This year they have posted a 5-7 record.

The team has put up good wins against Zeeland West High School and Hopkins High School.

“The strength of this group is their ability to play together as a team,” Coach Brant Haverdink said, “They respond to adversity with tremendous teamwork and effort.  They have a never say die attitude and continue to battle no matter what the situation is.”

Jared Overbeek said that the Hopkins game was the best game because it came down to the very end and they ended up getting the win.

Adam Immink said that they hope to get better as a team and win more games than they have so f

The team definitely has improved on its defense but they hope to work on playing hard the whole game a not taking breaks. Because of their depth of only having 9 healthy players.

Overbeek said that the best part of the season so far was winning games and growing together as a team.
