JV soccer loses close game to Unity Christian

Goalie Aaron Snay sets up to take a goal kick.

The Hamilton JV boys soccer team dropped their game on Sept. 24 to Unity Christian 1-0.

“I felt we did pretty good defensively and we held them off,” Hamilton’s goalie Aaron Snay said.

The Hawkeyes played with strength in their defense but weren’t able to create many dangerous opportunities on which to capitalize.

This 1-0 loss was one for the best finishes any Hamilton soccer team to Unity Christian.

“While it was great to compete with Unity, I felt we settled for the loss rather than fighting for the win,” said Coach Bob Wandel, “(It’s) part of the growing process.”

The Hawkeyes will play next at home Wednesday Sept. 26 against Holland at 4pm.
