JV soccer team finishes with .500 record

The girls JV soccer team had a successful season playing against many teams and putting forth their best effort. Once the weather decided to cooperate, the girls were able to play and ended with an overall record of 6 wins, 6 losses, and 3 ties.

During the season, the team lost some players do to injuries, but were still able to fight on and keep up the good work. Coach Tyler Robinson explained that everyone hung tough against powerhouse teams like: Unity Christian, Holland Christian and Grand Rapids Christian.

“The best part about the season was the fun we had together and the jokes we shared,” freshman Kacie Grady said.

“We connected as a family, and a team,” sophomore Rachel Blowers said.

According to Coach Robinson, the girls developed close relationships with each other, and stayed positive throughout the season.

The sophomores were a little shaky about the incoming freshman at first.

“We were a little worried about the freshman, we didn’t know how it would turn out. sophomore Leanne VanDenBerg said, adding “but it ended up being really fun and an exciting season.”

Overall, the girls had an solid season and were sad to see it come to an end. They can’t wait to see what’s ahead of them in the seasons to come.
