JV volleyball team splits last two matches

Hamilton defeated Holland Christian in straight sets.

The Hamilton JV volleyball team split its last two matches winning in straight sets against Holland Christian yesterday, and losing to Byron Center on Thursday, Oct 4.

The final score of the Holland Christian first game was 25-23, the second game was 25-13.

“The best area of play was that we played as a team,” Kambrea Sale said when asked about the Holland Christian game.

Against Byron Center, th Hawkeyes dropped the first game 25-10, and the second one 25-19.

“We worked hard for the third match but didn’t quite make it,” sophomore Aubree DeVisser said about the Byron Center game. “Our tips were good, but [the game] was overall chaotic.”

Hamilton is now 18-14-2 overall, and 6-2 in the league.
