JV boys soccer defeats Holland

Forward Kyle Dams dribbles up-field.

Hamilton’s JV soccer team held on to beat the Dutch yesterday.

“The (guys) had a great 3-2 win over Holland Public last night,” Coach Bob Wandel said.

The Hawkeyes racked up two goals in the first half and a third game-deciding goal in the second half.

The opposing team went for their third goal in the second half on a break away. Goal keeper Aaron Snay and a Dutch forward were head to head. Snay challenged the player and  stuffed the Dutch forward, preserving the win for the Hawkeyes.

Goalkeeper Snay stated that he knew he had to make the save and dove for it.

Spectators reported that it was an intense game and that Snay’s save was great.
