Varsity baseball splits doubleheader at Unity

Grant Wolfram pitches in a game last year for the Hawkeyes.

The varsity baseball team won its first game but lost the second at Unity Christian on Tuesday.

The first game was a slugfest for both teams. There were 22 hits combined between the teams.

Grant Wolfram came up big on the mound, extending his record to 4-1 on the season. He finished the game with 4 strikeouts.

Wolfram and Elijah Walker lead the offense as both registered 3 hits.

The second game was the exact opposite of the first. There were only 10 hits between the two teams.

Ethan Buresh did pitch a solid game, but he just couldn’t get the needed run support. He was credited with the loss.

The opposing pitcher for Unity pitched an amazing game, only giving up 3 hits and 1 run.

Hamilton’s record extends to 10-8 on the season, and 7-6 in conference play.
