Varsity boys fall to Wayland

Hamilton’s boys varsity basketball team was defeated 55-48 by Wayland on Friday night.

The Hawkeyes had a five point lead at half time, but their lack of baskets in the second half allowed Wayland to steal the lead and take the win.

According to Head Coach Steve Sikma, the Hawkeyes’ 0-14 shooting from the 3 point arc turned out to be the decisive stat for Hamilton.

Trenton Haverdink led the Hawkeyes with 14 points, while Nick Kronemeyer put up 11.

Wayland’s Dilon Aton led the Wildcats to victory with his 25 points.
