Varsity soccer plays last game against Holland

The varsity boys had a challenging last game against Holland high school Tuesday night. They pushed hard throughout the game but ended with a score of 7-1.

“We knew it’d have to be an “off” day for Holland and an especially “on” day for us to have a chance,” Coach Tyler Robinson said.

Holland has definitely been a tough team for Hamilton this year, but the players continued to press on and push foreword despite the previous losses against the Dutch.

Coach Robinson explained that he has taught the players to “Throw out ANY and ALL previous results against an opponent” and clearly they tried to implement his teachings.   While the game was competitive and difficult at times, they kept going strong.

This was the last game of the season, and the last game as Hawkeyes for senior soccer players Aaron Smitt, Luke Hildenbrand, Elijah Walker, Kinnon Fast, Adam Immink, and Marco Toresan.

“We fought hard against every team despite what the scoreboard said,” senior Kinnon Fast said.

“The group of seniors that we have will be sorely missed on the field and off–fun personalities, hard workers, talented guys'” Coach Robinson said. “Hats off to them for helping to pave the way for a positive boys soccer future from here on out at Hamilton.”
