Hamilton’s varsity soccer team fell behind early and end up losing to Holland Christian 3-1 last night.
Brady Zomer’s second half goal sparked some energy into the Hawkeyes, but it wasn’t enough as Holland Christian pulled out the win.
“It was a disappointing first half,” Coach Malefyt said. “Holland Christian played with more energy and focus and took control of the game. We played a much better second half, but still left too many chances on the field that we need to convert on.”
The Hawkeyes are now 5-4. They are 1-2 in the OK Green.
Their next game will be September 19 at Zeeland West.
